...don't have a right to ask? I'm applying to be a nanny. On the agency application they ask about mental health. I have depression and don't want to tell them, but i don't want to sign the application knowing I've lied. can I say no to having mental illness because they don't have the right to ask?
 
You need to call up a federal employment office to ask what to do, because that is probably an illegal question. Check the government pages in your phone book. I gave the other person a thumbs down, with her putting bipolar folks down. I have bipolar disorder, and i'm nice to kids. (too sick to be a nanny, but a lot of people have milder bipolar and would do just fine in a job).
