how can i alter some photos and combine them?

i have a picture of my girlfriend sitting on the beach in a bikini. i also have a picture of a pretty, gold-colored, antique birdcage, hanging up in my grandmother's house. lastly, i have a picture of my living room at my parents house. is there a way to alter and combine the pictures so it looks like the birdcage is hanging up in that living room and my girlfriend is sitting on the perch inside the birdcage? is that something photoshop could do, and if so, how can it be done? and last, would i have to take it to a professional photographer?
i've always wanted a picture of my beautiful girlfriend sitting on a swing in a pretty little cage! :-)
