how can i add my name or photography name to my pics?

i would like to know how i can put my photography name to my photos so people know how took them. i have a digital camera so i just download my pics to the computer. i would like to put my name on them. like when i put them on myspace. people copy them and i would like for people to know who took them
 
ANy photo editing program..Elements, Photo shop the free Gimp. You just add a text layer and reduce the opacity until it suits you.
