Well, if you learn the majority of basic stuff like mathematics, science, language arts, etc. it can give you a better life ahead because you have a knowledge of such things. There are quite a few people out there that can't read because they haven't been able to get a tutor or the right type of education. It's a beautiful thing to be able to read and write if you can do it, and I would say that gives you a better future. Although, education seems long and boring and like it's taking one baby step at a time, it usually pays off in the end. In elementary school, you learn basics. In middle school, it gets more advanced. In high school, a bit more advanced. Then in college, even more advanced. Especially when you get to high school and college, if you have education or high enough scores it can help you get scholarships, and be who you want to be. Learning you don't like something is also a step for finding out what you do like. It helps us with career choices as we go along. Some know by elementary, middle, or high school that they hate a certain subject. For example, I hate math, I can do basic stuff, but algebra didn't necessarily click with me so I didn't care for it because it was difficult and no one could teach it to me to where I could understand it (except one teacher that I had and was great in middle school). Either way, I know that's not something I'm good at so I stay away from careers with heavier math like the medical field, engineers, computer programming, etc. I know my stronger points lie in English, so I strive for careers having more to do with reading and writing. As we go through the education process, we learn what we do and don't like, so that also helps us have a better future because it gives us an idea of careers we may want to choose, or what direction in life we want to take. Career opportunities grow the more you learn. For example, if you get a high school diploma, you're set for a few jobs out there. If you get an Associates Degree in college, you're set for a few more jobs, but once you get your Bachelors, you qualify for a lot more jobs. You also get paid the more degrees you have, usually. If you have a Doctorate then wow, you're all set to go out into the world and do somethin'.
