It was relaesed in the cinema about a year ago I think, and was relased on dvd over few months ago. From what I know most films take about 3 years before they show on TV.

Yep, same deal as with Four weddings years ago, which aired on Channel 4 only a month after its cinematic release. Channel 4 were one of the production companies on the film so they get to air it whenever they want, as they own the rights.

They've lost out on a great deal of money,by not flogging it to sky first.

I remember Five showing Terminator 3 only a year after it's release, but they probably paid a fortune for the rights.

It certainly did not. Four weddings was released in May 1994 and then to rent in November 1994 and to buy in April 1995.I think it premiered on C4 around November 1995 about 18 months after cinema release.

But back on topic im suprrised Slumdog millionaire didnt have to air on Filmfour first before C4 could show it.

The kiRAB at the beginning are great, and like you say its a great tune at the end. You can have a snooze in the 2nd part of the film and not miss too much.

I've just watched it for the first time.

I won't watch it again.

I found it too violent, upsetting and disturbing. It wasn't what I expected.

It's put me right off ever going to India!.:(
