True Church, founded by..? Our Lord, Jesus Christ, himself.

Catholic is the greek word of 'universal' because it is the one, true, universal church.
Thou art the rock- I'm pretty sure that means 'you are the rock, the foundation by which I shall found my Church'.

St. Peter is the Earthly rock and foundation for the True Church, Jesus is the heavenly rock, who is the foundation for the faith of man. Whereas Peter is the rock by which the True Church is built, Christ is the rock which the followers of the True Church built their faith.
There is only one word in Aramaic for Rock-Kepha, which was translated into greek as 'Petros' which just means 'rock' by that time (language change, that's why we don't use Thou anymore.)
 
The one, true church baptizes in the name of Jesus.

The ROCK that Y'shua speaks of is the TRUTH of Who HE is and not
who Peter - anyone else is!!! We do not believe on PETER for our salvation. Peter did not die for us.

Y'shua is the Anointed One and He is our Savior...and Paul is the one who spent so much time in Rome, but he did not start the Catholic church either. Peter did not even go to
Rome.

Y'shua is the One Who founded His own church, the body of born again believers up until the very moment of the Rapture,
not Peter. The church is not founded on PETER...
 
it was not the roman catholic church that was the true church

believers who put their faith in jesus and repent and turn from sin are the true church


since the church was not welcomed by the romans until about 400AD when they stopped persecuting them.

Hence the name of the church became the roman catholic church.
Catholic dogma added latter made peter the first pope and the roman CC the claim they are the one true church.

God did not made a man made religion, the RCC, the true church.
