How can a person go through K-12 schooling, no matter how bad, and think the USA...

...is the only free nation? Now, I know that there are a lot of problems with our schooling system that need to be addressed, but even if your teacher spent time putting condoms on cucumbers, preaching the virtues of Marxism and homosexuality (no one ever seems to report on how often this actually happens; also, when was the last time someone took Marxist Algebra or gay chemistry or Leninist French grammar?) , how could any sentient being get out of our schooling system thinking that America is the only free nation on Earth with a high standard of living? Haven't these people ever heard of Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Canada, all of Western Europe......? As for the responder who says, "well, they're only free b/c we provided their defense," prove it. The USA didn't defend Eastern Europe during the Cold War as they were under Soviet domination, plus it was the work ethic mainly in Australia and NZ that enabled them to have a high standard of living, and the US does not defend neutral nations such as Switzerland, Ireland and Sweden, nor is Canada a neutral country that mooches off our defense should Greenland decide to deploy its rapacious armed forces upon our neighbour.
