how big of a difference is 2 12 inch subs compared to 2 10 inch subs?

i found two 10 inch alpine subs for like free pretty much, and i was wondering if 10" subs would be that noticable compared to 12" subs, like if tens would be able to produce a good bump near what two twelves could do or is there not that much of a difference between the two?
 
well 12s of the same sub in proper box will just naturally be louder, but the tens will get down fine, again, it's all dependent on your enclosure and power.
 
i say it depends on the what kind of subs they are, 2 tens can sound better than 2 twelfs if they are stronger subs
