How big of a capacitor do I need for a jl 12w3v3 with a rockford fosgate punch 300 amp?

I would say you definetly dont even need one. Sub a low power system, why bother. I dont really believe in them anyways, they are just a bandaid at best.

Upgrade the "big three" wires under your hook. Google big three car audio upgrade and you will see.
 
just a 1 farad capacitor would do fine.

1 farad= 1000 watt system
2 farad= 2000 watt system
3 ....ETC.

but otherwise you might not need a capacitor because your system won't drain the battery much.
my 2 kicker 12" cvrs 400 rms each.
bearly drain the battery.
So don't worry about it.
