How big is your backlog?

I keep telling myself that I'm going to FINALLY Gundam X and Turn A, but......

Also, Golgo 13. And I'm going to watch my favorite anime shows of all-time, to see how they've hold up. .hack//SIGN and RahXephon. I recently watched Ergo Proxy, and it held up quite well.

I guess that's 5 shows. 6, if you want to count Hetalia, which I gave up on somewhere around episode 42.

Thank heaven for Netflix queues.

Well, let's see.

On DVD, I have...

One Piece ~ I'm currently four volumes behind; only up to S2/V2. I'll probably buy the next two with the current RightStuf sale.
Death Note ~ Got the first full box set last Christmas, and the second this Christmas. I saw it all on [adult swim], though, so I'm in no real rush.
Now and Then, Here and There ~ I saw the first half on Animonday, bought the DVD release from RightStuf MONTHS ago, and still haven't gotten into it.
Last Exile ~ Heard good things, bought it from RightStuf, still haven't started.
Romeo X Juliet ~ Heard VERY good things, got the first volume for Christmas. I intend to buy the second half before I start, though.
Giant Robo ~ Heard INSANELY good things, got it for Christmas. Very much looking forward to this one.
Mushi-Shi ~ Saw the first episode online, liked it a lot, got the full series for Christmas.

That I still need to buy (and this is only stuff near the top of my list)...

Big Windup! ~ Which I still haven't bought, but, still. I watched the first few episodes online and just knew I had to buy it.
Baccano! ~ Watched the first episode online and now I really really really need to get it. Now that they've released a complete set, I'll be picking it up soon.
Samurai Champloo ~ I've seen a few episode here and there, so, yeah, been meanin' to nab this. But I'm not sure if I want the Blu-Ray or not; I've heard some less-than-ideal talk.
Fullmetal Alchemist ~ Which I've seen, but would like to watch again. I'll probably get the box sets EVENTUALLY. I'm in no real rush.
Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo ~ Looks like such a trippy, weird series, and I love seeing Japanese adaptation of Western media.
Outlaw Star ~ Saw back in the day on Toonami. I'd like to revisit it.

And shows I'd like to watch online before buying...

Gurren Lagann ~ Seen the first... eight episodes. I'd love to buy it but there's like five releases and I can't begin to wrap my head around them.
Casshern Sins ~ Because it's supposed to be really good AND I'd like to familiarize myself with the character before Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
Monster ~ I've heard good things. Hopefully they add more than the first episode at some point.
Soul Eater ~ I'll get around to it, because it's supposed to be good, but I don't really feel it, to be honest. Maybe I'll wait for the dub.

Other shows that I want to see released, or put online before I make a full purchase. A lot of 'em are on Crunchyroll, yeah, but I absolutely loathe their video player, and just can't get in the mood to watch long-running shows online, unless they're, like, weekly updates or something.

Fist of the North Star ~ It's absolutely fantastic, but, WAY too many episodes to watch online.
Slam Dunk ~ Same as above.
Eyeshield 21 ~ Same as above the above.
Le Chevalier D'Eon ~ Seen the first episode. Seems nice, but, not sure if I'd like to get it yet.
Tsubasa - RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE ~ It looks really good, but I've only heard mixed opinions, so... who knows.

...and that's not even counting movies and shows I'm thinking about buying at some point. This is just, like, immediate attention. Jeez.

Anime that I need to finish/get back into:
Fruits Basket - The whole thing is online, but I'm only around 11 or so. I was able to get through the first 10 episodes really fast, but I lost a little interest for some reason.
Gintama - Just not a huge fan of this one. Some of the episodes are a total drag to get through. But I hear it has serious arcs somewhere down the line and I want to see them.
Aoi Hana - I got to like episode 8 of 11. I really need to finish it!
Mushishi - A very unique anime with great individual episodes, but the fact that its episodic has put it on the backburner for me. I want to watch stories.
NANA - Don't know why I haven't caught up with what they have on Hulu. It's just great anime to stream appear constantly!
Blue Gender - I got about half way through it but stopped for some reason.
Soul Eater - Loved the first few episodes, but I just can't get into it at the moment. But I likely will someday.

Anime that I might want to check out that have recently started to get legal streams:
Busou Renkin
Prince of Tennis
Hikaru no Go

Anime that I was able to get back into (yay!):
Katekyo Hitman REBORN!
Eyeshield 21

Both anime fell of the radar for me because CR was uploading them at a slow rate and both of them occasionally got stuck on filler episodes and I just couldn't stand to watch the filler.

Add in the fact that I'm into tokusatsu and have to juggle watching/keeping up with Kamen Rider W, Kamen Rider Ryuki, Goseiger, Dairanger, Tomica Hero Rescue Fire (3 episodes left), MMPR Reversioned, rewatching Power Rangers In Space (stopped after Astronema joined the Rangers), and a sudden interest in viewing VR Troopers for the first time since it left TV, and it's a decent backlog.

Yeah, there's no way in hell I'm counting steaming as part of my backlog. My DVD/Blu-ray backlog is already too ridiculous, I'm finding title's I didn't even know I had. I just realized I've been helping to support R1 without actually consuming the product most of the time, I hardly have time to watch anything. I chalk it up to a corabination of having a really weird work schedule and impulse buying, when I try to readjust to new hours I apparently do a lot of internet buying while half asleep then wonder why the UPS man/woman keeps dropping off packages.

If my list was that small I'd be a happy camper but with grad school to excel in and stuff, the time I find to watching japanese animation and manga has gone slim. I have 3 weeks off between every quarter, but even that is still not enough to make a dent in my 300 anime series watch a thon. I'm sure its more, my friend gives me dvRAB every few weeks actually...

so uhm massively beyond compare. but you may enjoy fate/stay that one I watched 2 years ago, after being given the entire anime 2 years before ever watching it!

Lets see... (not all these shows are English versions, some I tape of Italian TV, incase anyone wonders why somethings listed thats not available in English yet)

Pani Poni Dash (2 or 3 volumes left to watch)
Attack No.1 (Ive got a whole 6hr LP tape and half of another tape full of episodes to watch, and since the show has finished airing I should catch up :P)
Haruhi (2 eps of vol 3 still to watch)
Cat's Eye (I've only watched 3 discs out of the set I have.)

And a load of classic anime that I havent even started watching yet.

Let's do an update 3+ months after the original posts:
I'm now caught up with the One Piece dub release but haven't caught up with the simulcast yet. I'm through episode 4 of FMA: Brotherhood (massively behind on the dub airings on AS). Otherwise, no other progress.I'm... almost done with Slayers season 1. Aaaand that's all the progress on that front.Nope, no further progress there either

Summer is quickly approaching, so hopefully I can make a large dent on this backlog then.
