How bad will a "C" affect my chances of getting into good university?

I doubt that it will have any effect. I failed AP calculus my senior year of high school, and was still accepted to my first choice university (which is very hard to get into). Colleges are going to look at all your grades from high school, as well as the type of classes you took (regular, honors, gifted, AP), if you played any sports or participated in extracurricular activites. Don't stress over a C. Just strive to do better and keep challenging yourself - that's what colleges look for.

For the first time, I got a C in my class. I worked hard during my freshmen and sophomore year, but I got a C in my math class this semester for my junior year. I have had a lot of family problems. I know colleges don't care about family problems, but will this "C" affect my chances of getting into college?
