good luck but dont worry the drill sergeants have been through this many times and know exactly how to pass everyone through, as long as you try, dont give up and dont have a bad attitude you will do awesome i bet!

i can do 20 over on the push ups and sit ups but when it comes to runnin i have a nine minute mile i been tryin to run everynight but i just cant keep motivated cuz its just so boring im afraid that im gonna suck so bad they recycle me i leave this sunday

Physically, you have a pretty good head start. Preparing for the mental challenges can't be taught. You need to prepare yourself for the personal discipline and mental challenges you will face daily.

Don't take any of it personally. It is all designed to toughen you mentally, teach team effort, and force the use of your cerebral capacity. Good luck ! Semper Fideles !

Yeah don't worry about it. When you get there you will see that there are people in really, really bad shape. And that will motivate you enough.

If its USMC you need to do 3 pull ups, run 1.5 miles in under 12 minutes (my recruiter told me it was 1 mile, but in boot camp our initial physical fitness test was 1.5), and i think 50 sit ups in 2 minutes. Im not sure about the sit ups, but that was real easy. As long as you can do that you can phycially complete boot camp. But the psychological aspect is so much more to worry about.

whatever you do, dont faint or give up. you'll get what we call the Silver Bullet lol. and drink alot of water otherwise you will faint. and for morning chow dont drink milk especially on PT days
If its Army, it shouldn't be difficult at all. I had a friend we called Herbert, and he was 5'11, 110 pounds and weak as hell and he completect Army basic training.

But even if you go and are not in good enough shape they send you to PCP which stands for Physical Conditioning Platoon which is part of STC (Special Training Company) and we called it Pork Chop Platoon because they were all fat-bodies. Then once you are in good shape they send you to another Company where you start off again. Sometimes you dont have to restart from TD-1 though.

Running is like everything else in life, you just gotta keep at it to get better. Don't give up on yourself. Make small goals and work on your breathing. Don't worry, you'll get plenty of practice at basic. Most importantly, try to give up smoking or dipping tobacco (at least on the days you work out).
