What exactly have you heard? The Marine Corps is only the most elite of all the armed services, so they require a great deal of you physically; if you are emotionally sound/mature than boot camp is challenging but manageable. It is definitely hard work, but worth it to know what you are capable of and then to become a part of such a great entity.
Faith (as at all other times) is truly beneficial during boot camp.
