Vimy Ridge was a battle in WW1 fought & won by the Canadians under the leadership of Lord Byron Bing who would eventually become Canada's Governor General.
The Great Depression started in 1929 when the Stock Market crashed in the USA & many investors & banks went broke including many in Canada which created massive unemployment. The war economy of WW2 took Canada (& USA) out of the depression.
Juno Beach was the code name of one of 5 beachheads in Normandy France that the Allied nations invaded to liberate Europe from Nazi German occupation on D-Day (June 6, 1944). Juno Beach is where the Canadian Army landed.
