How am I doing on my New Years resolution to increase my carbon footprint?

So far I have let my truck run for at least a half hour before and after work (sometimes at lunch without leaving the office so it doesn't get too cold), I let the shower warm up for a good 10 minutes before getting in, and I heat my house to a constant 85 degrees. But since the temperature here hasn't gotten above 20 degrees for over 2 weeks, I feel I'm not doing enough. Am I doing a good job? What else can I do?
The reason for this? Celebrities cramming "green" down our throats for no reason. Why support something as scientifically baseless as global warming?

Finally! A sensible person!
Global Warming? Nah, climate change. In ten years, Al Gore will be scaring us with ice age crap.

Though I love the earth, I have to say that such an odd resolution as yours is doing okay so far. I wouldn't do it, but it's cool.

You could keep your lights on when you leave the house, and the tv. Is your truck diesel? If so, hooray for you!

Finally someone whom is not buying all this crap the media shoves down peoples throats.

Personally I do not believe it is true, it is just another way to tax us to death, and control our lives.

Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, the concentrations of most of the greenhouse gases have increased. For example, the concentration of carbon dixode has increased by about 36% to 380 ppmv, or 100 ppmv over modern pre-industrial levels. The first 50 ppmv increase took place in about 200 years, from the start of the Industrial Revolution to around 1973; however the next 50 ppmv increase took place in about 33 years, from 1973 to 2006.

By yourself not much of an impact. But you and others like you are speeding your own exticntion.

Are you really so immature that you'd do petty things like this just to "prove" celebrities wrong?

And just to let you know, the celebrities aren't the only ones who are trying to clean up the Earth. People everywhere are contributing to this movement, so why don't you just do yourself a favor and stop trying to outdo us?

I admire your persistance, I just suggest that you try to aim it at other, more constructive causes...

No, no. You need to buy a hybrid for that. If you get one of the SUV ones they will emit the same amount or more emissions than your truck, and you can help strip mine forests for nickel to make the batteries. Then, you can get a new battery and let them throw the old one in a pile with the rest of them, since they don't know how to dispose of them, and kill a whole new forest. It will be perfect. Then you can tell people how proud you are to be green.
