...http://godandscience.org/apologetics/day-age.html? I tried reading the Bible, but I can't just read it without questioning the true meaning of what it says. I believe science is our way of observing the universe that God created, and I am trying to see if the Bible fits modern science. For me, science might improve my faith. Please give me evidence for or against how scientifically accurate these interpretations are to our current understanding about the universe and Earth's creation , not your opinions.
Please read the entire interpretation before posting. To any religious people who read this, note that I do not accept that the universe and Earth were created in 7 days, even though it could be possible. Please realize that a planet takes usually between a few tens of millions to a few hundreds of millions of years to form around a star, and I pretty sure Earth is not an exception to the laws of physics created throughout the rest of the universe. The Earth is estimated to be 4.54 billion years old and the universe is approximately 13.7 billion years old. Also, please do not claim that life never existed before 5000 BC; it seems contradictory to fossil records we have found today. I could be wrong, but please realize that even though the Bible was written in a time period without the knowledge of modern science, I am sure that God would not lie to us about the creation of Earth. Because the Bible was written in old Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic languages, they might have not had the vocabulary to describe the world we do today. We are basing our knowledge of the Bible on an English language that contains more vocabulary (I think) than any original languages of the Bible.
(these are just my current opinions)
