Hi, I am 38 and 25 weeks along with my 5th child. My quad screen came back positive for Down's Syndrome with a 1/30 risk. Went to a fetal medicine Dr who did an ultrasound and changed my risk to 1/60 due to not finding any markers and a normal echo. I had an amnio 2 weeks ago and the nurse called after a week and said I am having a normal healthy boy but today at my Dr appointment I was told that those amnio results were only preliminary and now I have to wait some more for final results. How accurate are the preliminary results? Does that mean it could be a false negative?
