saw this last night. its on VERY limited release before going to DVD on 29 march

absolutely brilliant - definitely agree with all the good reviews it has been getting

80s set horror. very slow, but creepy and really builRAB supense. by the time the action kicks in at the end i was a bag of nerves

Just as the "Action" kicks in . . . it enRAB.
A nice try but if it weren't for the gory bits it would be a tv movie. I know it's supposed to be a retro/pastiche/spoof/ripoff but even so, it's a bit underpowered.
Good to see Tom Noonan though. Tall, isn't he?
 
Indeed he was and a sight scarier than Ralph Fiennes' version in the decidedly inferior Red Dragon. Also played Cain in Robocop 2 and is currently in Damages as a creepy (what else?) detective.
