Hotsynch Not Saving Files on Desktop

This has been bugging me for a while. When I hotsynch my T5, any new files on my Palm are not saved on my computer. And another weird thing is that the order of files changes on my Palm, e.g. any memo that I have changed ends up at the bottom of the list. What's going on?

Y'know, that may be a problem, as I can't figure out how to do that! I open the Palm Desktop on my computer, and under 'Hotsync'-->'Options' there are four tabs (General, Local, Modem, Network), and nowhere do I see an option to do that. I am running v4.1.4

Ok, go to the hot sync Icon in the systray (down by the clock) and right click on it then choose "Custom". Here it will show you the sync pattern for all conduits.

The only one that should ever be set to Handheld Overwrites Desktop is Backup or System. All others are normally set to Syncronize.....occasionally it might be useful to have them set differently but this is typically not necessary unless your beta testing or some other advanced configuration.
