hotsync stuck on "cheking for new downloads"

I'm using Tungsten T for several years now without any problems,
and suddenly in the past few days the hotsync gets stuck when it gets to
"checking for new downloads" (on the PC)

I installed HotSync again and after synching 4-5 times it happened again.

I tried to find a solution in this board and many others, but couldn't find any.

Any suggestions?
 
What downloads is it hanging on? Downloads are not a part of the normal Palm conduits so it must be something that you've added to the T. You should therefore be able to turn that portion of the hot sync off and allow it to complete the sync and then post your Hot Sync log...for more info.
 
Click on the Hot Sync Icon in your systray. Then choose custom and view the hot sync conduits. Each will be set to synchronize or a similar setting. You can then turn these other off or to "do nothing" to find the one that's causing the issue.

My guess - it's either Vindigo or Avantgo or something else that is of a similar nature.
