This link does not work:-

http://promosearch.palmone.com/prom...search&sp-q-1=us&sp-x-3=col&sp-p-2=all&sp-i=1. So I cannot search for possible answers.

My problem is that I cannot, now as I have done for almost a year, Hotsync my Palm TX to my XP Laptop, Desktop 4.2, via cradle or Bluetooth. I can sync it to my Vista Pc via cradle. The last time I was able to Hotsync, to my laptop, was late last year. Now it gets stuck on hotsyncing Calender. I have left it running overnight but in the morning it still says syncing to calender.

I thought that I would uninstall Hotsync. However when I try I get an error message "error 1327; F: drive invalid"

I then rebooted in Safe mode and as adminstrator but when I opened Remove Programs Palm was not there!

I then downloaded and tried to install Desktop 6.2. That failed with the same error 1327 message. F: drive is not there!

I only Hotsync to my laptop every fortnight or so; I Hotsync to my pc most days.

Can anyone please advise?

The problem might not be the pda unit, but the set up on your computer. or third party product inference on either the computer or the pda. However, it still might just be a simple matter other than those.

Start simple then go complex

Have you cleaned the contact points on your pda where the synch cord plugs in?

You might also consider your cord- I have a retractable synch cord that just is dead. Although you said the bluetooth synch didn't work either.

(This leads me to think there is a setup problem on the pc)

No doubt you've backedup your information and done a warm reset of the pda or even a hard reset. I'm still inclined to think it is the software not being recognized in the pc.

No doubt you've gone under the computer control panel to try to remove the desktop software. desktop 4.2 I think is still better because it had/has transitional conduits from the old pdas to the newer os5 pdas/

You might need to look closely at your pda custom hotsynch conduits and then at your pda- my old unit has address, new conduit is contacts I think. Make sure the custom setup on the desktop is set at do nothing for conduits that your pda does not have. Set to synch for those it has.

You have a lot of issues to work through, both hardware pc, pda and software desktop/pda. If you are thinking to most of my suggestions Been There, then start with a google search on Hotsynch error 1327 and find out what others are saying. I've seen a few messages on various boards.
