Hotsyn problems

I am Having problems Hotsync on my palm. The very first time I did it know problem now it will not do it. I tried reinstalling but that did not work. It claims in the log book the connection between the handheld and computer was lost. I have compact pesario and windows xp. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also I have attached a little utility I got off the palmone site.

Unzip this into your palm or palmone folder that you will find in your programs file. Once you have unzipped it, click on it. Then, if you feel comfortable, delete the suspicious file(s) that has been deteched and try to hotsync again. It should work then. IF you do not feel comfortable deleting the suspicious files just yet, come back here and tell us what the utility found. If nothing was found and everything worked like it was supposed to when the utility checked everyone, come back here and tell us that. Someone (if not me) will help you with the next steps. We just need to know what this utility found....
