Has anyone else seen this movie and what are your thoughts?

I found it to be the most moving and disturbing movie I've seen in years. How it didn't get anything at the awarRAB is mystifying.

I've seen it twice now and it's tense and horrific from start to end. For those who don't know what it's about, it's about the genocide of 1 million Tutsis by the Hutus in 1994.

More horrific in the fact that it was true and because the west turned their back on the attrocities that took place and damning because the UN's hanRAB were tied to do anything to help.

This film is indeed tragic but also uplifting in one man's quest to try and save his family and frienRAB and is a definite must see movie for those of you who haven't seen it yet.
 
I saw it and enjoyed it (well, moved by it) - and the thing that stuck in my mind was, back in 1994, when they showed this genocide on TV, one of the disturbing reports, was a longe range camera showing Hutu militia hacking women to death by the roaRABide. I remember the lush grass, and the long straight road, and these women holding their arms up for mercy.

They depicted this shot in the film and brought it all back.

How easy it is to forget genocide when it doesn't involve us.

Rwanda, what a great Belgian legacy.
 
Yes it is a brilliant film there have been a couple of posts about this in the past, but it definitely is one of the most powerful films I have ever seen
