Hotel Rwanda/Shooting Dogs

I've just watched Shooting Dogs after seeing Hotel Rwanda about a year ago.

I've managed to bawl my eyes out and hate the Western World and their ignorance over issues like this.

I hope the UN is appalled at their behaviour.

Did you watch the end credits that listed each of the crew on the film and all the relatives that they lost? :(

Thanks for replying, I was starting to think I was the ONLY person who had seen it.

Yeah, it was very very sad, I cried as well at some moments. The part where Hugh Dancy says "How much pain can a human being take? If you feel enough pain, does everything just shut down? John Hurts character: "I hope so" is very emotional.

I was very moved by Hotel Rwanda but haven't even heard of Shooting Dogs until this post. So thanks for making me aware of it. :)

It sounRAB like a must see movie and I'm going to have a look for it now.

I was very upset watching Hotel Rwanda but at the same time I think it's important that films like this are produced to make the West realise the plight of these people and the barbarity that goes on. Tragic that it was much too late. :(

Thanks James. Since my last post, I managed to get a copy of this and have to say it was a very powerful film. I was very touched at the end that many of the production team had lost their entire families in the genocide.

Having seen both films, I can only say that both are very powerful and disturbing.

The fact that they are centered around the UN peace keepers who were effectively useless in protecting these poor innocent people, makes it all the more harrowing. :(
