i heard about this awhile ago, and i'm so excited for it to come out.

Shaun of The Dead is one of my favorite movies, and i ADORE Simon Pegg. he's awesome.

i think it'll definitely be a kick ass movie.

Hot Fuzz plot outline (from Wiki)

The plot, paying homage to the cop movie genre, revolves around London policeman Nicholas Angel (Pegg), who is so good at his job he's making his colleagues look bad. He's transferred to the village of Sandford in Somerset, where he's partnered with the oafish but well-meaning Constable Danny Butterman (Frost), who dreams of being Mel Gibson. Grisly events begin to take place in the rural village, and it's up to Angel and Butterman to sort it out.

Hot Fuzz teaser 2

:lmao:

PS look very closely at one of the DVDs in the DVD bargain bin in teaser 2 ;)

Oh god Bill Nighy is a god to me..he is sooo good. I love him as a funny guy but also as a baddie (Underworld). He was great as the dead pan step father in Shaun of the Dead and was the only good thing about Love Actually. The rest of the film was mushy tripe but his bits as the jaded singer were great.

Here's the IMDb page - not much info except that it says, "Crime/Comedy/Action," or something like that, so your typical buddy-cop movie.

Interestingly the cast includes Bill Nighy, Jim Broadbent and Timothy Dalton, although there's no information on their characters. I love all three so could be fun...

Yeah, ok I knew that. The first couple posts had me thinking otherwise.

So basically, this is going to be a British version of Super Troopers?

Interestingly, my grandparents had a cat named, "Fuzz," when I was a pre-teen. He was black-and-white so they named him that (looked like a cop car). I'm not sure they realized the connotations, but my grandparents are/were no innocents. ;)

General M -I'm kind of surprised you don't know that term since it's classic 70s slang!

Fuzz is an old fashioned nickname for the police, I don't think people use it any more.
I will be wearing the T-Shirts when they come out ;)

Dudes - the only reason I didn't immediately go to close this thread was because I saw who started it!

Kind of like Snatch. Oy! I cringe every time I say it, but it's such a good film.

I don't know - if this is by the same people who did Shaun of the Dead I guess it's a must see!

 I actually thought this was porn too by the title.

I did like Shaun of the dead alot, so I might check this film out.

Ah, you scared me!! Haha.

British police men? That actually sounds interesting, not many movies about them.

BTW, PJ is by far the cutest thing ever.

PORN GALORE!!!!! :P

Only joking! This is actually the title of the new film, in production as I type, by the wonderful peeps who gave us the fabulous Shaun of the Dead. The Hot Fuzz of the title is about British police men and what they get up to. Along with Nacho Libre and Snakes On A Plane this is on my 'can't wait to see' list. I've been watching the production blogs and if you go to number 8 you might spot a certain low key director called Peter Jackson (who is a massive fan of Shaun of the Dead) who likes to pop up in other peoples production blogs :D
