hostel

Also, another point about the film, I had a question at the end: how come Paxton knows that the bloke who eats salad with his hanRAB is a torturer? He was never in the dungeons with him!!.......Well, actually, he did see him briefly cutting up a body when he was first lured into the dungeons. Apparently, I read about 60% of people had this same question, which doesnt bode well for the quality of storytelling..

i thought that BUT he'd seen the tattoo he had when they first met him on the train then saw the 'shall i kill her quick or slow' guy had the same tattoo. he obviously knew that was their 'sign'

i actually liked the film, i thought it was a bit sht to begin with but there was something about it that really disturbed me by the time it had finished

The Region 1 DVD release of Hostel has been confimed for the 18th of April. The DVD will includes a 94 minute unrated cut of the film (apparently a sicker and more twisted cut!), the disc will include a commentary with director Eli Roth, a second audio commentary with the director and Quentin Tarantino, Boaz Yakin, Scott Spiegel and Eli Roth, a third audio commentary with producer Chris Briggs and documentarian Gabriel Roth, and a fourth commentary with online film pundit Harry Knowles. Also on the DVD will be a

Just watched it and I thought it was a great film and to think some sick people out there to carry out things like that  . The girls featured in the film were great i'm thinking of booking a ticket to Slovakia! :D :D :D

It is worth seeing as I wouldnt say that it is a terrible film. It is just that it has been hyped up a lot so a lot of people myself included were disappointed after seeing it. If you go in with not many expectations then you may enjoy it!
I think they left a lot of the gore out for the expected unrated DVD which will be released in the US next month and in the UK in 6 months time!

Does anybody know when the offical UK release date for Hostel is as I have read the end of March but then I have also read the end of April. I really want to see this film and it seems such a long wait for it!

went to see this at the weekend but had to leave half way through, can anyone fill me in on how it enRAB?
got as far the bit when the fella is being tortured and having his feet sawed off, the other guy is passed out on the bathroom floor.

I saw "Hostel" last night and can say that it is pretty gory, however it aint as scary as "Wolf Creek". The storyline of Hostel is, to be honest pretty good, but the whole film seems to be just a "slash and shock the audience" type of film.

I've got to say though that I WOULD definiately stay one night in the hostel but not go out. (See the film, you will know what I mean). :D

I'm such a wuss. I saw this film two days ago and I can't sleep! I'm having the worst nightmares possible and last night I woke up sweating and shaking!

Really gruesome film and quite mentally disturbing. I usually like a good horror. I saw The Hills Have Eyes the other day and thought it was a right larf but Hostel is just plain nasty!

(Cant wait for the DVD)

I didn't have nightmares over the film last night, I blanked out the violence. Had a bloody good dream though it involved me and the 2 girls in the spa! ;) :D :D :D

I saw the trailer for this the other day. It sounRAB like an interesting concept, and totally nasty and sick. I havent seen Cabin Fever, so cant comment but have heard it is just as gross. I dont know what it is but I seem to be getting squeamish in my old age (I am about to hit 29...LOL) :D

Hostel Director Eli Roth has been talking to IF magazine about the Region 1 unrated DVD:

"iF Magazine: What will be different on the HOSTEL unrated DVD?

ELI ROTH: 27 seconRAB of eye goo. Let

For anyone who has seen this: Is it actually scary or just really gory? Personally the more gruesome and bloody the film the better, but it's been a long time since a movie scared me.

And according to IMDB it's out in the UK on 21st April - long after the rest of the world gets it.

i love my horror/gore films - this was extremely sick but not a bad film. its not the kind of film you recommend to people though. I found it disturbing but i was freaked out by it. I ended up with my feet up to my chest on the chair in the cinema for reasons that will become clear if you see the film - (i didnt want my ankles on show)!!

Its been one of the more effective darker films - and im glad i saw it - left me feeling very uneasy

I cant believe what Jonny Hot Rod posted as I thought I was a wuss when it came to horror films as I jump at anything but I wasnt scared at all when I saw Hostel!
It wasn

Watched this film the other night.. and actually I thought it was good.

Its not scary.. but it is a little nasty.. Even I a hardcore gore/scare fan got a little uncomfortable at some of the scenes.

I thought the story was pretty good and actually quite believable.. so just remind me not to goto Slovakia anytime soon.

Oh and the kiRAB have some serious issues!

This is exactly what I think too! I don't think I'd want to watch the uncut version as the cinema one was enough for me! I didn't particularly want to see that asian girl get her eyeball blowtorched

 I'm shocked at the amount of people that want even more blood and guts.

Why not just ask the local abbatoir if you can watch due to an intense study you are doing? Or is that too tame as it's not human beings?

Beats me how much violence, graphics, blood and gore people want in a movie.

Being scared by the jumpy out bits is enough for me. :o
