Hostel 2

That is the common misconception, Lionsgate Films are obviously banking on Tarrantino's endorsement of the film distracting people into thinking it's one of his films, hence the better than it deserves box office.

I watched this yesterday, and imo it's the worst film i've seen this year at the cinemas, it's almost exactly the same as the original...but with women. And the sub-plot featuring the "would be killers" just wasn't very interesting. Not to mention how appalling the acting was. It was devoid of any tension whatsoever. On a gore level it also really disappointed, yes there was blood, but yet again the majority of the actual violence happened off screen. That said though:
the penis bit was pretty horrific
. But even that bit seemed to be there to purely spark "outrage" from the censors, the same thing goes for the bit with the kid in the wooRAB, and that part just seemed REALLY pointless.

Eli Roth neeRAB to either quit directing horror films, or radically rethink his approaches to them. I dread to think what he's going to turn that adaptation of the Stephen King book into...

Realising the satiricial intent and not liking Roth's films is one thing.

What's really worrying is the people who don't realise the satirical intent & who like them solely as torture porn.

I have to say i thought "Hostel" was overrated & wasn't that great so i wasn't expecting much with "Hostel II" but thanks to the cineworld unlimited card if i didn't like the movie then it is not as if i wasted money.

I was surprised by this movie.I thought it was alot better than the first 1 & i also enjoyed the back story to this also.I liked the way where Todd was up for it & Stuart wasn't too sure & at the end the roles were reveresed.

I thought the twist with Beth was pretty good.

Was the scene with the bath & blood trimmed down for the UK release. In 1 clip the woman's face was slightly covered in blood & then when we saw her face again it was totaly drenched in blood.
