Horror Film Recommendations

I recommend Inside too,if you don't mind sitting through foreign movies - it's a really good horror/thriller.

I think the Friday the 13th remake was probably the best FT13th movie ever made.Of course it's cliched and by the numbers, but then they all are.

I'll also add Clive Barker's Midnight Meat Train.I liked that one.

And Texas Chainsaw Massacre:The Beginning.

Has anyone seen Paranormal Entity? Even though I haven't seen it it's obviously a rip off of Paranormal Activity, especially judging by it's lol.

I haven't seen either yet but will be getting Paranormal Activity on Monday. Hope it's good.

Yeah I enjoyed REC, the first time I've watched a film with subtitles all the way through. I originally thought it was some American film. I'm thinking of getting Dog Soldiers now, i've heard about it a lot and the trailer I watched looked good.

I find that the Japanese make really good horror films (which the West then remake and ruin) - you need to work at some of them as they sometimes don't follow timelines in one direction but I think they are worth it

The Ring, The Grudge and the Eye are all great

I'd also like to put a word in for the Korean one about the monster in the river - can't remember it's name and I really like Thirteen Ghosts for its visuals and original ideas

Nightmare on Elm street
Poltergeist
The Witch (also known as Superstition)
Sleepaway Camp
Stephen Kings IT
Fright Night
An American Werewolf in London

Oh and Showgirls!

All of David Cronenberg's early ones - Shivers, Rabid, The Brood, Scanners (although that's his weakest film IMO), Videodrome, The Fly, Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch.

Dead End and They were good recent ones.

I written some of those mentioned down..Will google them tomorrow now..

I also saw a film about a girl who makes frienRAB with some other girls, but thenkills them and cuts the bodies up, sews them together and makes one big doll..cos her freinRAB were horrid to her..Anyone know what title called i forgot it..Was good film too ..lol

If you liked Hostel and thought it couldn't get any worse then you have to watch "Mum and Dad".I am a real horror fan and it disturbed me. I think it works because it is just so real. A true modern day horror classic.

"May" is also a one to watch if you dont mind really weird stuff.

If you fancy a Vampire film with a twist then I thoroughly recommend you check out "let the right one in". It is Swedish so you should be aware of that and not mind subtitles. I especially like this one as it's quite arty and has an edge to it aswell as great acting and an interesting plot to keep your interested.

Its also called paradise lost, its in brazil,i really liked the movie,it was pretty gory at places, the whole idea of body harvesting gives me the creeps, the underwater scenes were pretty good 2,havnt seen it on sky movies ever either and its not 2 old a movie.
