Horror film Recommendations???

I concur with the posters who named "Wolf Creek", "Inside (dir: Alexandre Bustillo, Julien Maury)", and "Martyrs". Shock tactics are their main calling card, but some real scares in each as well.

Italian horror film "I'm Not Scared" has been one of the most well-received horror films of the past ten years.

Good for blood and laughs, Dario Argento's "Tenebrae" and "Terror at the Opera" will entertain if not exactly scare.
 
the wolfman is due out in february 2010,and that looks pretty scary.unfortunatey,it is a remake of the original movie with lon chaney,so the plot will have no real surprises.

this film also freaks me out to this day, i still cant watch it alone. zelda was the cause of most of my childhood nightmares lol..the part where the little boy gets hit by the truck was horrible, not that you see it, it just plays on your mind, its the thought of it.

for me, you cant beat the origional halloween, also love devils rejects (mostly for the music lol..) hills have eyes, the list is endless really.
 
[REC] is brilliant. only film that has managed to seriously scare me in years.

These films have all given me the chills may not be the same to everyone but I intend to watch them all over Halloween.
 
The best horror I have seen perhaps since the original Saw is MARTYRS.

It's completely unpredictable and has a mind blowing ending that you won't forget in a hurry. Genius.
