I have this horror book idea and i was wondering if anyone thought this is a great idea or not, or any suggestions. Please give your honest opinion about it. Here is my idea:
Main Character: A Male, no name yet though
It is about a 7th grade boy who is part of the school newspaper. When he recieves the bulletin "Life of a middle schooler" which talks about things that happen to middle schoolers everyday like relationships and school work and such. He then recives a suggestion note about lies and rumors. He takes it into cosideration and notes start piling in about different rumors spreading around. So he starts to write them in secretly, by changing some words to other words so the teacher won't know. But when the newspaper is passed out to the whole school, many students get angry at the paper. The kid starts to get replies about how the writer is going to suffer, suffer hard. The kid starts to get picked on and all goes down when a masked figure starts torturing him and asking him "can you do these things?" and puts the kid through pain and suffering. Like one of the rumors was "Jacob is such a loser that he was stuffed in a locker and didn't come out at all during the whole weekend" and the masked figure puts the kid into the locker to see if he is able to sustain it. Soon, people learn he isn't the one is leaked out everything and his friends start to take his side. Now, the masked figure goes even worse and starts to kill off each friend and staff by going overboard with the rumors written in the newspaper.
