I can definitely relate to no signal and searching for signal problems, here at my house I had a 7290 that wouldn't keep a signal, 7100t, 7105t, MDA and Sidekick 2. But since I got my 8700g it dropped signal a few times the first few days I had it and it's been going strong every since, I don't know if it's the EDGE network or what but my signal has been constant and I hope it stays that way. I hope it's a faulty device and not your location! Hope it all works out for you.

t-mobile really sucks.. and thats not an empty fact i had tmo and so did bout 5 of my friends we live in manhattan, bronx, brooklyn, and queens, in these boroughs tmo sucks we all went thru the same things o the phone might be defective or theres a tower down.. its all lies.. u really think if tmo had excellent service they'd be giving 1500 mins for $30 i dont think so .. i dont care if the give 3000 mins for $30 i would never go back to them.. another thing i wanna meet these people who claim to have Great Tmo service.. see what phone u have and where u live.. cuz for every 10 people that complain bout tmo theres always that 1 person who swears they love tmo and never had any problems with them... srr i kno im ranting but this just ticks me off. thru out my life i've had Omni Point, AT&T, Nextel(b4 the merger), Sprint, Tmo and Verizon.. in that order.. out of all of those i never had a problem with Nextel Or Verizon.. those are the only 2 you should chose from

One of these happy T-Mobile customers sits across from me at work. He's had T-Mo for like 5 years with no complaints. I live 3 miles from him and had to give up T-Mobile because of poor coverage. I am sure that there are places out there (somewhere) that there is good T-Mo coverage, but the coverage is patchy and inconsistent.

As far as Verizon and Nextel being the best? I dropped Nextel like a rock because my coverage decreased significantly during my time with them and they made up a lot of stories about congestion, etc.. truth be told after some of the hurricanes down here in FL I don't think they bothered to repair or replace broken antennas. I would never ever ever ever bother with Verizon because they're on CDMA and (fingers crossed) that technology is dying and GSM will replace it. I can't imagine not being able to take my phone abroad and use it if I wanted to and CDMA providers don't give me that option. Not to mention that all of my friends on Verizon sound like drowning cats no matter what phone I talk to them on.

o justelise sorry if i left something out.. i kno service is different in certain places.. that rant was for NYC i mean i kno tmo sucks here.. but apparently their the top dog in europe.. but my ranting was specifically aim at NYC here Verizon works amazing . me and my crew have not had 1 problem since we all left tmo... as for Nextel.. i dont kno how their service is now that they mearged wit sprint.. . whatever i guess it all depends on where u live.. find which service works the best at ur house.. job.. and i guess one other place.lol and pick that one.. in NYC verizon works everywhere for me .. EVEN in the subway station in Time Sq. on the N, W, R train platform.. so i dont kno.. lol.. i kno this isnt any help for u mm . so sorry.. i got carried away .. but i had a similar prob when i had my sidekick i made them switch it bout 4 times and i got the same issue so i just dropped them.. sorry i wasnt more help

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~I live at 7600 feet in the Rockiea and have tmo. I only lose a signal literally going around a mountain. Do you have something solid blocking the closest tower?

I have the same problem....I live in a somewhat rual area...I say somewhat because it was once rual, everyone is moving down here, basically its getting crowded.....

Hate having to stop a conversation b/c I know I will not have converage for a mile or so...or when I am driving down hill that so sucks !

I completely understand your frustration if the service did not work for you and your friends. However please don't devalue other people who like the service. I myself don't care for Cingular but to each their own. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and everyone should have respect for that.

I agree with Techiegirl and would add that each vendor has areas of the country that they are better in, Cingular is best in my area, Tmobile is better on others, and Verizon better on others. its just the way it is.

If you had a bad experience with the TMO coverage then changing is best for you, but please lets keep the tone of posts civil and respectful of everyone.

I am one of those happy tmo customers. Granted I have had my problems with them. But all in all, I have to say they are a geat company. And my reception is most excelent.

I have had Sprint, Tmobile, Verizon and Cingular. With Sprint and T-mobile I had problems with signal strength and call quality. This was particularly true with T-mobile constantly dropping calls if I could get a signal at all :-( I live 25 miles north east of Boston.

I have had T-Mobile for 3 years and have only had my share of signal problems (I had Sidekicks and THOSE were the worst phones for signal) but they were never because of where I live. I also had problems with billing. See this thread http://blackberryforums.rabroad.com/1867-angry_tmobile_customer.html?highlight=Angry+T-Mobile+Customer

Currently I have had my 7105t for 5 months and have only had about 3 instances where "GPRS" has changed to "gprs." Only problems I had with BB's were defective units including 2 7730's and 1 7100t which were replaced free of charge by T-Mobile.
