Horrible cramps in my calves when playing football?

So here is the thing. I play football in a recreational league, and it's pretty fast pace. All of the guys have playing experience outside of the little fun league we play in so it can get intense at times. We play for hours some weekends and, although I don't have a history of this problem, ever since this summer I've been getting unbearable cramps in my calves. It is almost like all of my below-the-knee leg muscles just ball up into one spot in the middle/back area of my calf. At first I can't move the leg at all. Then after about thirty seconds to a minute I can move the leg, but with much discomfort. After I would say three or so minutes I am able to get up and hop around and finally after about six or seven minutes after the cramping takes place I can stretch/jog it off and continue... With limited mobility. Also, after the cramp occurs once it tends to happen a lot more frequently during the remainder of play. Once the physical activity has ceased and I go about my normal everyday activities everything is fine. It has happened on several occasions now and I'm really just getting tired of it and a little concerned. I thought that it was probably just dehydration or a lack of recent physical activeness but now I've been playing in this league since July and the problem hasn't stopped. I don't have a history of just cramping like that during sports in my lifetime, so I've kind of went away from that theory. One suggestion a friend made was that it was probably a lack of calcium, which I'll admit that I despise milk and don't get the amount of dairy I probably should, so could that be the case? I hope so. I just want this to stop happening. Opinions? Thanks!
