Hormones and Acne!

I am going in to the doc today to get my hormone levels checked to see if that is what is causing my acne -- is there anything I should know before I go in? Is there a better time of the month than another to get hormone levels checked?
 
In my experience, my acne is usually worse about a week or so right before my period. I've never had my hormone levels checked so I'm not sure when the best time would be, but I would think your best bet would be at your peak hormonal time. ;) Good luck!!
