Hormonal acne?

That is a confusing topic for me. Isn't all acne pretty much hormonal? I mean, I am a 20 year old woman who only got acne when she started her period, and have normal skin...I don't know if it is hormonal or not...but when I think about it, I think acne in general can be kind of contributed to hormones. Opinions?

I don't really know the answer to this, but i always thought that the reason you get more acne during your period is because there are hormonal changes during that time of the month. But now many people have problems with their hormones in general and that's what's causing the acne. Even if it is not that time of the month their hormones are messed up to the point where it causes acne.
