Hoping to get into photography?

Well, its going to be my 13th birthday on the 18th and I was wondering if the following camera is good for a beginner. I suppose I'll most likely be doing portrait photography. Is the lens that it comes with good? Is the camera in general good? is the price good?

nahh im not rich. haha. But I do have a big family and I like get money from everyone :]
 
Your parents must be rich! Anyway, I'd say a point & shoot would be better for a beginner, but if you really want a dSLR then that camera looks like a good place to start. The lens that comes with it is very good for beginners.
 
The camera is fine for a beginner.
The lens is also pretty good.
The price is pretty much spot on.

The colour is not good... Get a black one.
