Hi, firstly I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!
My question is for my internet challenged dad. He is looking to buy a new phone to replace his old moto cell. We live in Alberta, Canada, so he was thinking about something on the Telus network again. NOW here is where his confusion lies.... my oldest sister lives in Scotland with my brother-in-law, and my youngest brother lives in Saudi Arabia with my sister-in-law, he wants to buy sort of a "world phone", one that will work here in Alberta, Canada, for the most part, but also one that will work over in Europe when he and my mom goes to visit my sister. What is the best way to do this? And what is the cheapest way? He does NOT want to buy a satellite phone.
Please help, as I know without any help he will end up with the wrong phone, and it will ruin their up coming holiday to Scotland.
Thanks,
Jenn

Yes, all you need is just a basic quadband phone.

Go to http://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3 and under 'Network' chose quad-band and it'll show you all your choices in the market right now and you can decide what to buy.
