i have a compaq presario cq50.i have the tv out funtion,ive have purchased now to date 4 cords to do this and nothing.i got a cord yesterday number 5,its a VGA to S-video,when i plug everything in the tv turns black and i get a bunch of white lines.im so lost. i go in to properties and go to connect to projector or external display and click connect display and nothing. ive gone in to Nvidia control panel and have tried to use the tv function,it detects it but it says analog,i cant figure this out.i believe this is the right cord ive gotten the most ''lines/interference'' from this one.i cant figure out which channel it has to be one,is it like a dvd player and set to av1 or av2? ive done that and nothing. my flat screen also has a pc function on settings but that did nothing also.
i just want my laptop on my tv i dont get why it has to be this difficult.
