hood prop for pig cooker lid?

I build pig cookers for a living, I have a new cooker that has a lid that is different than all the others, I need to know what the best way would be to make a lid prop or any way to hold the door up I also can send a picture of the cooker if need be my email is [email protected], any ideas are appreciated
