Ok, so in my english class we are reading The Once and Future King by T.H. White. Throughout the book, our teacher is giving us projects(well, we actually have a selection of over 100 projects and we choose what ones we want to do!) I just chose a project where I have to create Merlyn's beard. To do this, I can draw, bake, or anything else. Here is the description of Merlyn's beard from the book:
"Merlyn had a long white beard and long white moustaches which hung down on either side of it. Close inspection showed that he was far from clean. It was not that he had dirty fingernails,or anything like that, but some large bird seemed to have benn nesting in his hair..." -P.29
I was thinking of using cotton balls for the beard and getting actual sticks(well twigs) for the sticks in his beard. As for the birds nest, I have no idea what to do for that.
If you can think of any better ideas on how to make Merlyn's beard, please let me know, no matter how crazy it is, I would like to know. You can be as creative as you want, and please don't be afraid to go out on a limb and suggest something that you may think is a stupid idea, because to me that stupid idea could be a brilliant idea!
