i went on a 5000 mile road trip this summer to the northwest u.s., and averaged between 30 and 35 mpg on my vtx 1300 running 70 to 75 mph... meanwhile my buddies on their harleys were getting 40 plus... just wondered if thats normal mpg for my bike or if there is something i can do to increase the highway fuel mileage... i usually get 40 to 45 mpg when i just putt around town, but the highway speed really cut into that... any input or suggestions? thanks
