I recently bought a 2006 Honda Pilot and I noticed that the tailgate light is not coming on. It has an on/off switch on it (not sure which is which) but it does not come on in either position. I tried to figure out how to replace the two bulbs in it but I was not able to figure out how to open it. I do not have the owner's manual, so I cannot use that as a reference.
P.S. The tailgate light is the light inside the trunk door, so when you open the trunk, the light will be over your head.
My questions is the following: "How do you open the light fixture where the tailgate light bulbs are located?"
Usually you can open them by either moving the whole fixture to one side, but this did not work, and I tried using a flat screwdriver to pinch it open and that did not seem to work.
