hi i have a 2001 honda nsr 125 it is the unrestricted italian model, i brought it off my mate who claims to have had 95+ mph, since i have had the bike i have rebuilt the top end engine (new barrel, piston, gasket's etc) i have also put in racing cooling antifreeze and cleaned the carb.
my problem is that the bike has 6 gears, but the torque is not that good as you go past 4th gear, i have never used 6th gear as the bike will not pull (infact it slows the bike down faster than if you where rolling) i have had 80mph top speed down hill wind behind me etc etc
why wont my unrestricted bike go faster, also it seems to have more pull when the engine is warm (say for the first 2-3 miles) than when the engine is hot, lets say a 20mile ride the engine is hot and "rubbish" please help what have i missed??? and what could i check????
