I bought a 94 Honda Del sol a month ago. Since the day i bought it, it would stall out if i wasn't giving it gas (in neutral) and even sometimes while i was rolling (usually not but only if i wasn't giving it gas). It would not stall out while the engine was cold and in neutral . About a week ago it started knocking and it sounded like it was coming from the front right of the engine bay(where the belts are-ish) and a day or two later my car would stall out a lot more frequently until it finally died completely and wouldn't crank over. I did get it to crank once while i was pumping the gas and the sound that came from under the hood was horrendous. ever since then i haven't got it to crank again. its at my buddy's shop right now and i was hoping maybe someone has had this problem or has some insight before i replace the engine. I have read on honda forms that the d15 (which i have) is very touchy on timing and most people with similar problems say that when they corrected their timing they fixed the problem. None of them have mentioned their engines getting this bad though so im not sure if its past just adjusting my timing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
