Honda CRF230L or Yamaha XT250?

Yamaha. They specialise in bikes when honda also make cars that aren't very good. :). Plus who is leading the MotoGP championship? Yamaha. :). Good quality and reliability.
 
Honda for sure.
The 230 engine is a development of 125 from around 1970.
Its been 125,185, 200 and now 230. (and 145cc kits on 125 bottom end)
The earlier motors were pretty 'un-killable', as long as they had some oil in them they just kept going, usually wore out because someone removed air filter or sunk it in a pond
What year XT250?
Early ones had some cam bearing issues (1980's)
