Honda Civics - What is the difference between Si's and Em1's?

Ignore those people.
The EM1 is a chassis. Not a car. They're all still Civics.
Just some people think it sounds cooler to refer to things by it's skeleton. Next time they talk like that, call them "bones" Refer to your desk as "wood", etc.
Sounds dumb, doesn't it? And yet...they continue.

Can someone help me answer and make it clear for me because the model Honda civic si 1999 is what i am after but why do people call it civic em1's are they different or both the same? Can someone help me what is the difference between the model civic si 1999 and em1's?

EM1 is the Chassis Code for the 99-00 Civic Si (US)
look at the vin number on a 1999 civic si
it will be something like "2HG[EM1]......."
if its not a true Si it will say EJ8 for Civic EX or EJ6 for CX/DX/LX
put shortly its the same thing just two different ways of saying it
its like saying "i want a fountain drink" and "i want a pepsi fountain drink"
EM1 is more model specific to the 99-00, similar to the pepsi explaination,
Civic Si is more generic to early 90s to present time.
but saying 99-00 Civic Si and EM1 is the same thing just two different ways of saying it, one refers to the make model and trim, other refers to the chassis code 4th 5th and 6th number of the vin,
