Honda civic question please!!!!! HELP!!!! PLZ?

Hey my name manny n i am a owner of a 1997 honda civic ex, i owned this car for 4 years now n no problems till today. i came from work today all happy cause i was changing the oil for my honda, so i took out the old oil n took out oil filter and then i put in new oil filter and put the screw back on realy hard. then when i put the new engine oil and i turn the car on, all of a sudden it starts to leak oil. lots of it!! i am so mad right now, my baby is going to die today novermber 18,2009. unless i find out why its leaking. please help me why it leaking. it seem to be leaking from the oil filter but i tighting it very very very hard. please help i dont want to loose this car it means alot to me!!!!! my dad bought it for me and he passed away.

take it all back out and make sure that everything is as it should be with all the seals correctly positioned. when you filled it back up with oil, did you keep checking the dip stick? if you over filled it with oil you could have caused damage to the seals.
