honda civic mileage question help plz?

i want to buy a used honda civic hatchback from 1992 to 1995 models and i was just wondering is mileage a very big thing when its come to those old cars? im not really a car person im only 17 lol should i buy a car with over 150k mileage on it or less? what if i change the engine and some parts would it run longer no matter what the mileage is?
 
I know those cars are old but 105K are too many miles, your car might break down before you know it. Try something is the 90's
