Honda Civic LX 98 Starting problems?

Two weeks back I changed the oil and put little extra oil in the car. A week wen fine but now, car creates problem while starting. It won't start in a single key turn. After 2-3 turns and after hitting gas pedal, car starts. Car does not create problem while running or there is no battery indicator. Should I take excessive oil out or just check the spark plugs ? Or it's something else ? Thanks in advance
 
1. Depends on how much oil you put in
2. old battery? check/replace it
3. check the plugs/wites (replace if needed)
4. if after doing that and it still doesnt start right, check the starter (should be #1 anyway)
5. check fuel filter
6. drain oil and put in what it calls for, a little extra wont hurt but too much will damage the engine
