I have aprox $5k cash..

What one should i get?
2003 Civic Hybrid /w 150k miles

or 2002 Toyota Prius /w 160k miles.

Both same price.. aprox same mileage. in my city..
What are the known problems on these two models?

Known problems, everyone will key your car including me for being a socialist.

Let's see... the batteries are more dangerous to the environment then 5 hummers

hmm, death would be certain in the case of a crash

No one would respect you, and you probably have no life.

truthfully i wouldnt get a hybrid from those years thats when they were first starting to come out and now they have high mileage, and i know you have to replace the batteries in them which is very expensive. i would just go with a regualr civic with less miles. it still gets good gas mileage and you know they will last forever.

There are little or no problems with the Prius. You will get bet gas mileage with the Prius. That model will range from 45 to 50 miles to the gallon average. One note it has a neoprene blatter for a gas tank which means your gas mileage will fall by 5 miles to the gallon in very cold whether. But of the two cars the Prius is your better choice for the money
