Honda Civic Fuel Consumption problem?

I have a Honda Civic 98 hatchback 1.6L Gli. Going through the city (Sydney) I can either go the high traffic way (without paying $5 toll) or through the motorway (but with a $5 toll).

Way #1 takes half an hour extra (mainly driving really slow and almost idle in slow moving traffic) and way #2 takes less than 10 minutes, but with a $5 toll.

Which way is more economical? How much fuel would be used up approx by moving slow for 30 minutes?

you should be able to find out the cost by figuring out the MPG's for each way.
if time is more important, go the faster route; if your in no hurry, fugure out the cost per trip.
